Prototype Surface Finishing of Powder Coating
What is powder coating(electrostatic powder coating)?
The powder coating process is very similar to a painting process except that the “paint” is a dry powder rather than a liquid. In 1962, after the invention of powder electrostatic spraying by the company of Semus in France, powder coating began.
The powder sticks to the parts due to electrostatic charging of the powder and grounding of the parts.
Advantage
Powder coating process gives you one of the most economical, color-durable, and longest-lasting finishes available.
Powder coating will make the parts surfaces more resistant to chipping, scratches and wear than other finishes.
The powder color selection is virtually unlimited, and the surface effect can make with high and low gloss, metallic, and clear finishes available.
